Studio Policies

We look forward to working with you from our beautiful studio (and virtually). Here are some important things to know for your first class.

In-Studio Sessions

  • Be sure to register for in-studio appointments in advance as there is a maximum of 4 students per class. Walk-ins will not be permitted.

  • All appointments must be pre-paid before appointment arrival. This can be done on our website or the MindBody app.

  • There is a 24-hour cancellation policy; ensure you make changes to your schedule within this timeframe. If you cancel yourself out of an appointment or are a “no show” (this includes a group class, private session, an enrolment class or workshop) with less than 24 hours’ notice, the appointment is forfeited. For your convenience, you can register and make changes to your schedule through the Mindbody app or the 'Login' tab here on our website.

  • Cancellations are to be done via your MINDBODY account only. We do not accept cancellations by phone or email.

  • Please be considerate to those who are on the waitlist. Should you not be able to make it to your class. Please cancel via your MINDBODY account. By ‘No Showing’, an eager participant on the waitlist cannot take the class.

  • Please arrive 5 minutes before the start of your class to settle in.

  • Latecomers to Group Classes will not be permitted to class after 10 minutes from the start time. The class will be deducted from your account.

  • If you are more than 15 minutes late for your Private Session, your session will be forfeited.

  • For hygienic reasons, socks must be worn during your class. We highly recommend grip socks as they provide traction and stability and prevent slipping during movement. We have grip socks to purchase (or you can borrow a pair) if you forget yours at home.

  • Please refrain from wearing strong-scented perfumes.

  • We ask that you remove your jewellery before class. Jewellery can easily get caught in the springs and cables of the equipment and can be a safety hazard. It can also damage the vinyl on our equipment and our mats.

  • Please tie up long hair as it can get caught in the equipment and cause injury.

  • We require a minimum of 3 participants to run our Matwork group classes and 2 participants to run our Equipment group classes. Should the minimum not be met, you’ll be contacted via email the night before your class. Please check your email or your MINDBODY account, to see if the class has been cancelled before coming to the studio.

  • Outdoor Classes - please bring your own mat and dress for the weather.

Virtual Sessions

  • A link will be e-mailed to you as soon as you register for your class.

  • Log in a few minutes early so you’re ready to go when class starts; check your audio and camera settings and make sure they are in good working order.

  • Turn on your camera and angle it in such a way that your instructor can see you. We also ask you to mute yourself during class to avoid audio feedback and background noise.

  • Ensure you have all the required equipment for class (see class description before registering).

  • For the best online experience, use Google Chrome and create a free Zoom account before your class.

  • We require a minimum of 2 participants to run our group classes. Should the minimum not be met, you’ll be contacted via email the night before your class. Please check your email or your MINDBODY account, to see if the class has been cancelled before the start of the class.

Waitlists

Is it worth going on the waitlist?
Absolutely! Our waitlists do move and chances are you might get into the class.

How do I know if I've made it into the class?
You’ll get an automatic email from us saying you’ve made it in. Please click on the ‘confirm’ button in the email, so we know you’re coming. If you don't confirm, your spot may be given to the next person on the waitlist or a stand-by client.

Please Note:
The absolute latest time you’ll be notified if you’ve made it into class is an hour before start time. This ensures you have enough time to make it to the studio without feeling rushed.

How do I remove myself from the waitlist?
Simply login to your MINDBODY account and cancel yourself from the waitlist (as you would any class).

Safety During Classes

Please be alert during your group classes and private sessions.

Please listen carefully to the detailed instructions from your instructors for key information like - setting up your equipment for the next exercise, what springs to put on and take off, lowering/lifting the headrest/foot-bar, coming to a full stop on the Reformer before releasing the straps, ensuring springs are fully inserted before proceeding with the next exercise. etc.

The instructions we give you are for your enjoyment and safety and that of the other participants, so everyone can have an enjoyable accident-free class.

Thank you in advance for your attentiveness.

Your cooperation in helping our studio run smoothly and making it enjoyable for everyone is very much appreciated.
